Equipments: Fujimal Gear
Guitars: YAMAHA Pacifica
Guitar Magazine, published on October, 2006, by Rittor Music, showed the information about Fujimaru Gear at the SHOGUN Live:
- YAMAHA Pacifica 612V
- YAMAHA AES920
- YAMAHA CPX-8
The magazine says the body of Pacifica 612V is "maple-top" and "alder-back", and the neck is made of maple and the fingerboards are made of rose. The front and center pickups are Yamaha original single coil, and the rear pickup is Seymour Dancan Custom Custom.
We see the head of the guitar used in the DVDs of "Crossover Japan 'O5" and "AB'S M.V.C."[Music Video Clips], the finish seems defferent. I visited Yamaha Website and tried to make sure the name of the color finish.
- COJ(2005) Natural(Perhaps... check it in the DVD!)
- 2006年- Old Violin Sunburst (Perhaps, again... See the DVD of "SHOGUN")
- Ivory (Actually I could not find ivory finish. ^^; See AB'S' "M.V.C." )
According to the magazine above, as for YAMAHA AES920,its body is made of quilt-maple on top and mahogany on back, the neck of which is made of mahogany, and the fingerboards are made of rose. Pickups of the front, rear are made by Seymour Dancan 59. YAMAHA CPX-8 is an electric-acoustic guitar.
Momoshin, an AB'S fan, says that Fujimaru-san often used Duncan Stratocaster about twelve years ago.
On the Blue tour in 2007, I saw Fujimaru-san putting his guitarin the case very politely. He used the old sunburst finished guitar this time, but he also prepared ivory-color Yamaha pacifica.
Amplifiers: Marshall
Effectors: Marshall Over Drive
Yokohama-no Yotaro says Fujimaru connected his gear in 2004 like:
Guitar -- Volume Pedal -- ⇒ MXR Dyna Comp -- Marshall Over Drive -- Boss Tuner -- Marshall Amplifier
He connected his guitar to the amplifier almost directly and did not use effects such as reverb, but the sound was AB'S.
He seemed to destort the sound with channels of the amplifier, and did not use Marshall's Over Drive so much.
Basically he made his sound only with compresser.

Music Cafe Special: Fujimaru's Gear History
Mr.Hibi Kinku told me Fujimaru-san's detail gear history.
If necessary, check Fujimaru-san's activity history in his official website Yoshino Fujimal on the Web!(See "Genealogy" and "Biography", written in Japanese, though.
1. Around 1971
- Guitar:ELK
- Amplifier:GUYATONE
- Effects:He got sustain effect with Guyatone's Wah Wah Pedal
ELK was a Japanese instrumental manufacuturer. When Japanese musicians could not buy expensive Gibson and Fender guitars, they often used Elk guitars, and even some professional guitar players used them not only because of their prices but also quality.
The Elk guitars are, according to Mr.Hibi Kinku, "The neck is thin, and the fret is narrow and low, but with bridge-control they tighten thinner strings at a lower position, fingerboard is easy to slide, so they are easier to play with.
