Birthday: April 21, 1952
Features: wears Sunglasses and a knit-cap. Tall.
Alcohol and cigarettes: He could not drink alcohol and had oolong tea even at the pub, but recently he can drink alcohol a little. As for cigarette, he quit!
Gear: Mainly Yamaha Pacifica
Composing for AB'S: He said on the bbs of AB'S (/his official website), it is easier for him to compose songs of AB'S than those of SHOGUN because he can use wider vocal range, thanks to Naoki Watanabe, who can sing in a higher tone.

One of the great Japanese AOR album! Makoto Matsushita, Yoshihiko Ando, Naoki Watanabe and Atsuo Okamoto joined the recording of this album！

Artists: He often plays for Tohru Suzuki, Kingo Hamada, Rainey's Band. He is now on tour with Hideaki Tokunaga. He sometimes arranges for SMAP or Kinki Kids, very popular male idol groups in Japan.

Features: Long straight hair(!), a bandanna.
I think his "must" is a red stratocaster!
Alcohol, Cigarettes: According to Atsuo Okamoto, except Fujimaru-san, all members but Fujimaru-san can drink. Makoto also smokes a lot, but he does not smoke in his house. (He smokes outside of the house!)
Gear: Charvel Stratcaster; Ovation
Composing for AB'S: Actually I do not know about composing, but his arrangement is rather tough to play. As for "Summer Wave", Naoki Watanabe said in 2007 that bass fingering is rather difficult. As for "Into the Light", all members might say it was difficult to play.
Favorites: Swimming in Nishi Izu.

Artists: These days he plays with Jun Kajiwara, a great guitar player in Japan (playing for Sadao Watanabe!) and supports Akiko Kosaka and Kosuke Kamishin. He also plays with Jun Kajiwara their music together.

Features: His hairstyle often changes. His fashion on the stage is so COOL!
Alcohol, Cigarettes: No Cigarettes. Can drink like other members except Fujimaru-san.

Composing for AB'S: He composes and arrenges songs thinking of all members' performances.
Favorites: ... I have no idea... ^^; I think he is a great emcee at the concert of AB'S！
Sounds: Solo Bass-Club: Eternity
Naoki established Solo Bass Club and released an album "Eternity". You can the title tune in his official website.

Bands: (now) AB'S，Wo-Kin Band, Bluff. He formed a new band(called "A.O.Session" ATM) in 2008 with a young talented guitar player Masayuki Nakagawa, and the band name is now wanted!

Composing for AB'S: Composing only for the songs, and does not think of live performances, so sometimes claimed by the other members saying "too difficult!!!" But he plays easier phrases when he sings!
Favorites: Going out of Japan. Full of humor senses.
Sounds: How about Seiko Matsuda's "Kaze Tachi-nu? He plays for so many Japanese idol CDs!
